As a kid, I usually stuck my toe in the water before jumping into the pool. I never was one for quick plunges. However, with blogging there’s no place to put your toe first to try things out. It’s more of a sink or swim experience. But I’ve discovered that when you jump in, there are a lot of very experienced “swimmers” around you who are more than willing to help and encourage the novice. Carole Brown has been that for me (she’s my “blogger-hero”). She was kind enough to invite me to do a guest blog (even though she swims comfortably in the deep end while I’m still paddling around in the kiddy pool). You’ll find it at:  http://sunnebnkwrtr.blogspot.com/ Thanks for the privilege, Carole

I’ve also learned a really neat trick as a new blogger. If you want to find out how many people are checking out your blog, just mention that you’ve been in the ER. I guess I need to share that while the symptoms looked a little alarming, the diagnosis was far less serious – low potassium. Also an easy fix, and a good dose of potassium had me feeling much better very quickly. As I’m sure you can imagine, we are now investing heavily in bananas. Thank you all for your love and concern.
